Imagine my surprise as I awoke one morning from uneasy dreams, and found myself transformed in my bed into a middle-aged guy.  (To paraphrase. Don’t know what that’s from? Here’s a hint:)

So it seemed like the first half of my life had somehow slipped on by while I was taking a nap, or maybe just daydreaming on the couch; births and deaths and marriages and all that other stuff taking place behind a gauzy curtain, moving shadows with no light or heat.

So I’m done with that.

Here you will find the things that interest me about life. The state of our country, our world, our species.

Thanks for stopping by. (oh, while you’re at it, stay classy San Diego)
